Giants player Sam Reid has accepted a two-match suspension for his hit which left Fremantle skipper Nat Fyfe concussed.

Fyfe went down during the third quarter of the Dockers' win over GWS on Sunday with replays showing a Reid bump had done the damage.

Take a look at the incident below.

The AFL's match review report on Monday charged the 31-year-old with rough conduct, grading the hit as careless, high impact and high contact.

After taking an early guilty plea, Reid will now miss matches against Melbourne and Collingwood.

If the match review ruled the hit as severe impact, as with Patrick Dangerfield's bump on Jake Kelly in round one, Reid would have been sent directly to the tribunal.

The Geelong star was last week suspended for three matches for the incident which saw Kelly taken from the field on a medicab.

It continues the AFL's strengthened stance on hits to the head, with more accountability placed on those players electing to bump.

Fyfe will now miss Fremantle's round three clash with Carlton as part of the League's new mandatory concussion break protocols.
