Port Adelaide pair Peter Ladhams and Dan Houston have been suspended for breaching the AFL's COVID-19 protocols.

Houston was among a number of visitors to Ladham's house on August 3 following the team's win over Western Bulldogs.

Ladhams has been hit with a three-match suspension, while Houston will be out of action for two games.

The Power were also sanctioned, copping a $50,000 fine, half of which will be suspended, with the other half to be included in the club's 2021 soft cap on football department spending.

Crows player Billy Frampton, who lives with Ladhams, was also investigated but cleared of any wrongdoing as he had no contact with the group.

AFL general counsel Andrew Dillon said the pair had clearly breached the League's biosecurity protocols.

"Peter and Dan know the rules and it is disappointing that they chose not to follow them," Dillon said in a statement.

"The protocols are in place for a reason, to protect the players and the wider community. If you make the decision to breach them, then you will be held accountable."

The news comes less than a week after Swans youngster Elijah Taylor was suspended for the rest of the season after his girlfriend snuck into the team's hotel in Perth.

Port Adelaide currently sit on top of the ladder, in front of Brisbane on percentage, ahead of clash with the Hawks at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.
