Robbie Gray to be sidelined for four weeks with a broken hand image

Port Adelaide gun Robbie Gray is set to miss at least a month of footy after revealing he'll undergo surgery for a broken hand.

Gray will now miss Travis Boak’s 250th game next week against Collingwood after suffering the injury in the first quarter of Friday night’s 16-point win at Adelaide Oval.

The 31-year-old played out the rest of the match, finishing with 18 disposals.

“It’s not ideal but these things happen in footy,” Gray said Sunday. “I’ve had my fair share of injuries so I’ll miss a month of footy. The good thing is the boys are doing really well at the moment.”

“There are a number of guys doing well in the SANFL at the moment with Motlop going back and performing, Sam Mayes, Jack Trengove and even Billy Frampton who kicked five yesterday”
