North Melbourne have announced the search for a new coach is well underway, with the selection panel confirmed.
Since Brad Scott stepped down at the conclusion of the Kangaroos' round 10 match against the Western Bulldogs, interm coach Rhyce Shaw has won both his games at the helm.
The five-man panel consists of CEO and managing director Carl Dilena, former board member and club champion Glenn Archer, current board member Paul Dwyer, GM of football Cameron Joyce and chairman Ben Buckley.

In a letter written to members by chairman Ben Buckley, he highlights that while the panel will drive the decision-making, outside perspectives will also be potentially sought out.
“Together we will identify and interview only the very best the industry has to offer, with a view to making an appointment in the coming months,” Buckley wrote.
“While the panel is made up of North people, we may look to engage highly respected and experienced industry figures from outside the club for another perspective along the way.”
Buckley also highlighted the job that Shaw has done so far, with Buckley previously stating he would also be considered for the role by the panel.
“Rhyce Shaw has done a terrific job turning things around and we now find ourselves knocking on the door of the eight. Rhyce’s connection with the players and style has been exceptional and we thank him for taking the reins.”
The letter comes after news that North Melbourne was preparing a massive offer for Sydney coach John Longmire.
Longmire has been coach of Sydney since 2010, but has a North Melbourne link, playing 200 games for the club between 1988 and 1999.
North Melbourne believe that Longmire is gettable, but the Swans are keen to re-sign Longmire beyond 2020, when his contract expires.
Rhyce Shaw faces his next challenge as coach this weekend, taking on brother Heath Shaw and GWS this weekend.
It is the first time a brother has coached against his playing brother since Jade Rawlings coached Richmond in round 16, 2009 against brother Brady and the Kangaroos,
