Richmond have secured the signatures of emerging talent Noah Balta and 2017 premiership player Jason Castagna.

The pair have signed two-year contracts, tying them to the Tigers until at least the end of 2021.

Balta, 19, has shown plenty of promise this season since making his debut in round one.

The small forward played an important role in the drought-breaking 2017 premiership, making up part of the famed 'mosquito fleet'.

Tigers football manager Neil Balme said the extensions were exciting for the club.

"We're very pleased for us, and also for Jason and Noah that they’ve re-signed with the club," Balme said.

"They’re both very skilful, hardworking and determined players, which makes them exciting to watch, and very valued by their teammates.

"As young players, they’re still developing their game, and we look forward to seeing them learn and grow in the next few seasons with the Tigers."
