The Melbourne Demons made history tonight, becoming the first AFLW team to ever score 100 points in a single game.
The feat came in a brutal 88-point thrashing of the Fremantle Dockers, with the Demons' final score being 107.

This was not the only AFLW record broken during the game - Taylah Harris breaking the league's scoring record and the triple-digits mark with back-to-back goals.
Daisy Pearce was a standout for Melbourne, scoring five goals herself as the Demons rolled over the Dockers.

The Demons become the first team in #AFLW history to kick 💯 points in a single game 😈😈😈 pic.twitter.com/BHlIPYfpqj
With Melbourne and Fremantle sitting second and third on the ladder respectively, this was not set to be a walkover, but key losses to the Dockers side in Kara Antonio, Ebony Antonio and Emma O’Driscoll meant that they were lacking severe firepower - all three sidelined due to the leagues health and safety protocols.
However, even in considering this the Demons were clearly a class above, winning the match 16.11 (107) to 3.1 (19).
With only one round left of the regular season, this dominant display serves as a warning shot for the rest of the league, that Melbourne are coming for the trophy.
