Kick Like Tayla: AFLW star Harris stars in new Amazon Prime Video documentary image

The plethora of sport documentaries across Australia's streaming services is set to be added to by new Amazon Prime Video series Kick Like Tayla - which chronicles the sporting career of AFLW star Tayla Harris.

To be released exclusively on Friday May 27 via Amazon Prime Video, the documentary gives unprecedented access to Harris' life as it examines her rise as an AFLW icon, her success as a boxer and the social media controversy around the famous photo of her in 2019.

The one hour documentary starts with Harris' success as a junior footballer, before she became Brisbane Lions' marquee signing in the inaugural AFLW season.

With Harris' move to Carlton saw the social media fallout from that famous photo of her kicking for goal - with the social media sexism and abuse she copped in the aftermath.

The program also looks at her trade to current club Melbourne and her career in boxing.

"I'm thrilled to be a part of this new Amazon Prime Video documentary where I can show what is a usually very private side to myself," Harris said.

"You will see what makes me tick, how I go about game day, cutting weight for fights and plenty more."

Kick Like Tayla will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on May 27 in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, US, UK and South Africa and will launch globally on June 17.
