Jeremy Cameron has been in rare form so far this year and it took the fence beyond the boundary to stop him in the first quarter at the MCG on Sunday.

The GWS forward went down in a heap after crashing into the electric signage around the boundary, aided by a nudge from Hawthorn defender James Frawley.

That earned Frawley a report from the umpire, though Cameron was able to get up and take the free kick.

Given the Giants star's momentum was already taking him towards the fence, Frawley may well escape with just a fine.

Earlier, dropped Hawk Jarryd Roughead showed his class in the VFL, kicking five goals as Box Hill and Footscray played out an 84-all draw.

The former club captain and four-time premiership winner did his chances of a senior recall no harm and even took the chance to give his opponent some pointers.

Roughead was filmed having a conversation with Reuben William, appearing to coach the former Brisbane player.

"I can’t believe that. If that was me I’d be telling my direct opponent to run in all the wrong positions," Campbell Brown said for Channel Seven.

"Roughy probably is just talking him through a couple of defensive aspects of the game. What a bloke."
