Geelong's wacky Wednesday has a reputation of being one of the best in the AFL, and the 2019 version did not disappoint, with the feud between Patrick Dangerfield and Kane Cornes flaring up once more.

The Cats gathered at the Cremorne Hotel in Newtown to celebrate the end of their season, with the costumes catching the eyes of the AFL world.

Geelong legend Gary Ablett gave his best impression of Allan from The Hangover, while captain Joel Selwood did his best impression of Queen superstar Freddie Mercury.

Harry Taylor came as Andy Dufresne from The Shawshank Redemption, while Tom Stewart and Cam Guthrie came as a pair of John Wick's.

There was also the cast of Stranger Things.

However, the best costume would have to go to Patrick Dangerfield, who came as firefighter Kane Cornes.

Dressed in a fireman's uniform, with an old-school Port Adelaide guernsey underneath, Dangerfield did his best impression of the controversial Power champion.

However, Cornes would have the last laugh, tweeting that Dangerfield had missed the most important part of the costume.

The Cats were eliminated from the finals series after their loss in the preliminary final to Richmond last Friday night.
