North Melbourne v Geelong: Gary Ablett could be in more strife after collecting Sam Wright image

Gary Ablett dodged a bullet at the Tribunal last week, but his luck could run out following another ugly incident, this time against North Melbourne on Sunday.

During the second term of Geelong's clash with the Kangaroos at Marvel Stadium, Sam Wright was collected late and high by Ablett as he disposed the ball.

It was a similar incident to the one that booked Ablett a ticket to the Tribunal last week when he collected Essendon's Dylan Shiel.

Ablett had never been suspended before last week's drama, and he retained his perfect record as he successfully fought the charge.

However, he is set for deja vu with the umpire immediately calling a free kick against Ablett following the Wright incident, before Wright's teammate Robbie Tarrant remonstrated with the Geelong veteran.

In commentary, David King said the incident looked "looks uglier than what it is".

"I know it’s not the act we want to see in the game," King said on Fox Footy.

"He walked the fine line, he walked the tightrope last week. Does he go for that again, I’m not sure.

"Is there a cumulative effect with the MRO? I don’t know what the situation is.

"I’d be surprised if he goes for that."

Ablett had a ripper outing away from the incident, kicking four goals as the ladder-leading Cats sealed a 24-point win in the 16.8 (104) to 11.14 (80) result.

The Kangaroos will also be hoping Sam Durdin won't be cited after his shepherd on Gary Rohan forced the Geelong recruit out of the game with concussion.
