Promising young ruckman Sean Darcy has penned a two-year contract extension with the Dockers, keeping him at Fremantle until the end of 2022.
On top of his 2017 deal that secured the 20-year-old through to 2020, Darcy's recommitment anchors him at the Dockers for the next four seasons.
Darcy averaged 33.7 hit outs in his opening 15 AFL games, more than teammate Aaron Sandilands at the same point in his career.
The young ruckman is set to challenge the star veteran for the No.1 position in 2019.

Darcy said that his relationship with Fremantle coach Ross Lyon and the team made his decision to stay on for another four years an easy one.
“As a group we have a great chemistry and we are all really close. It was an easy decision from my end and I am really excited for the future at Freo,” Darcy told Fremantle.
“I am close with a lot of the boys so I am loving it here. Ross has been unreal for me during the past two years and I’m enjoying developing with a young group.”
The giant ruckman joins the re-signed Michael Walters and ex-GWS forward Rory Lobb as players contracted through to 2022.
Dockers football chief Peter Bell said that the club are now well-equipped in the ruck for the long-term with an eclectic combination of new and experienced players in the middle.
“The contract extension is great news for the club and for Sean. It shows the confidence we have in him as a player while illustrating Sean’s confidence in the club and his desire to succeed at Fremantle,” Bell said.
“Sean is a talented young ruckman who has already made a significant impact on the field ... and we expect him to be a vital cog in our midfield in the long-term.
“It’s safe to say we’ve been spoiled by the contribution of Aaron Sandilands for almost two decades, and while we expect that to continue, having Sean sign on means we can head into the future with confidence.”
Darcy's long-term deal is only exceeded by 2015 Brownlow Medallist Nat Fyfe, whose monster contract sees the captain at the Dockers until the end of 2023.
