We already knew Eddie Betts was capable of producing magic, but this is something else.

In a video that appeared on the Adelaide Crows star's Instagram on Friday, the forward snaps a goal from well over the boundary on a gloomy day at Norwood's Coopers Stadium.

As impressive as the goal is, it pales into comparison to the massive lightning strike that hits the goalpost as the footy sails through the big sticks.

Check out the video below.

So… this happened… 😱⛈

Any other player and you'd immediately call it fake, but the 31-year-old has made a career out of kicking logic-defying goals

We're less convinced about the lightning however.

Eagle-eyed viewers might have noticed this bloke towards the end of the video:

#director eddie betts

That gentlemen is a director that goes by the name of imprettyricky on Instagram.

Now, we have no confirmation that the video is a fake, but we're awfully sceptical.

In any case, it makes for a damn good watch.
