Don Pyke's face said it all.

Adelaide Crows looked on in fear as they waited for a bomb to go off.

But Pyke gave them the silent treatment. An even deadlier weapon than a demoralising spray.

Down by 80 points at the three-quarter break at the hands of Melbourne, the speechless Crows coach fiercely stared down each of his players to bluntly express his dissapointment.

Eventually after a good half minute Pyke opened his mouth.

What he said was inaudible, but it's an easy guess at what profanities he spat out at his dispirited playing group.

Depleted by an injury crisis that has hit their top players, the Crows currently sit seventh on the AFL ladder as their percentage spiralled downwards thanks to Melbourne's domination.

On the flip side, Melbourne have worked their way into the top four and four points clear of sixth place as Jesse Hogan scored five goals in his contribution to the blowout 91-point scoreline.
