Carlton defender Liam Jones has signed a three-year deal with the Blues, committing until at least the end of 2022.
Jones, who has played 55 games at the Blues, has had an unconventional career so far.
The 28-year-old arrived at the Blues as a forward in 2015, having played 68 games at the Bulldogs.

However, his career has received a second wind, with Jones reinventing himself as a defender.
He enjoyed a career-best year in 2018, coming sixth in Carlton's best and fairest.
Jones spoke to carltonfc.com.au and said he was excited to stay with the club.
“It’s great to re-sign, I love playing my football here and I feel like this group can achieve something special,” Jones said.
“My time here at Carlton has been quite the journey, going from a forward to a defender: the transition certainly had its challenges, but I’ve loved every minute of the journey. It’s been great to hone my defensive craft with Dale Amos who has backed me since day one and encouraged me to do it my way.
“The club has shown great belief in me since I walked through the doors and I’m looking forward to working hard every day to help this group achieve success over the next three seasons.”
Carlton's list manager, Stephen Silvagni, shared Jones' sentiments.
“Through sheer hard work and determination, Liam has become an integral part of our backline and has developed into a great leader among our defensive group,” Silvagni said.
“We hold Liam in such high regard at the club and we are delighted he will be part of our exciting future.”
Meanwhile, Jones recently lauded No.1 draft pick Sam Walsh.
Speaking to 3AW, Jones said he'd been impressed by his performances so far.
“He’s definitely the best first-year I’ve seen across my years,” Jones said.
“He just seems very confident in his own ability, he’s not arrogant or anything like that.
“He’s very quite and humble and respectful but just knows his ability.
“And as we’ve seen it’s more than capable at AFL level.”
