Callum Sinclair injury: Sydney Swans ruckman dislocates shoulder image

Sydney ruckman Callum Sinclair barely lasted the first minute of his side's clash with Gold Coast on Saturday afternoon.

The big man appeared to dislocate his right shoulder after landing awkwardly following a tackle.

Trainers eventually helped Sinclair to the bench where they were able to get his shoulder back in before heading down the race.

With the number one ruck looking like being ruled out for the remainder of the match, Aliir Aliir and Sam Reid would have had to take charge at the stoppages.

The home side then received a boost when Sinclair returned to the bench with his shoulder strapped mid-way through the first term, eventually heading back into the ruck.

That was shortlived however, with the 29-year-old's shoulder popping out for a second time in a ruck contest in the final minute of the opening quarter.

Plenty of fans were surprised to see Sinclair playing at all following this heavy concussion in last week's win over Hawthorn.

Both teams looked like they were going to be a man down after the first change with Suns forward Ben King copping a head knock following an accidental clash with Zak Jones, though the youngster returned in the second term.

As it turned out, Aliir did the bulk of the ruck work, going toe-to-toe with Jarrod Witts and holding his own more often than not.

Sydney were able to kick away from mid-way through the third quarter, locking away the four points with a 42-point win.
