2010 Brownlow medallist and renowned rascal Dane Swan took over the Twitter account of Sportsbet during the 2018 Brownlow Medal ceremony, much like he has done in previous years.

As always, the results were pretty funny, though this year he had some competition from current Pie Mason Cox.

The big American has developed a reputation for his social media activity lately, overshadowed only by his recent efforts on the field.

So, while red-hot favourite Tom Mitchell roared towards his first honour at Crown, Swan and Cox entertained viewers from their couches.

Here's some of the boys' best efforts:

After having a cheeky dig at Clayton Oliver last year, Swanny got around the Melbourne young gun this time around.

Richmond's Jack Higgins was awarded goal of the year for his around the post effort against Collingwood and the young Tiger gave a very excitable speech.

Cox however wasn't sure the goal should have stood.

Cox was pretty happy with himself after he picked up maximum votes in the Queen's Birthday clash.

While Swan wasn't happy his old mate Dayne Beams was being snubbed by the umpires.
