Former Western Bulldogs and Hawthorn star Brian Lake has been hit with seven charges, including unlawful assault, following an appearance in Melbourne Magistrates' Court.
The three-time premiership defender fronted court on Monday where he was charged with unlawful assault, aggravated burglary, criminal damage and trespassing, among others, stemming from a February 17 incident.
The Daily Mail reports that Lake is expected to plead guilty to the charges on March 13.

Lake has found himself in hot water several times over the past year, reportedly struggling with the transition to post-football life and the breakdown of a marriage.
The 2013 Norm Smith medallist ended up in a Japanese prison for six days in July after being arrested following an AFL Asia tournament.
In October, the 37-year-old was photographed in a toilet cubicle at the Caulfield Cup with a white substance on his phone.
Lake was also caught speeding and driving unlicensed late last year, a matter that is also currently unresolved.
Several sources have reported that Lake's downward spiral began following his return from reality show Survivor.
Lake's wife of nine years reportedly informed him of her wish to end the marriage, kickstarting a destructive period from the South Australian.
Lake played 251 AFL games between the Bulldogs and Hawks.
