Ben Cousins pleads not guilty, denied bail following latest arrest image

Former West Coast captain Ben Cousins has been denied bail following his latest arrest.

According to Fox Footy, Cousins said "that's not fair, Your Honour" over video link as Magistrate Brian Mahon denied his application for bail.

The former Eagles star who has battled drug addiction for much of his life pleaded not guilty to a host of new charges.

As first reported by Channel Nine News Perth, Cousins was arrested on Wednesday after he was allegedly found in possession of 2.5 grams of methamphetamine.

Officers allegedly found Cousins sleeping next to a car in a park after responding to reports of erratic driving in the area.

The 41-year-old appeared in Armadale Magistrates court on Thursday where he was charged with 15 offences, including drug possession and aggravated stalking.

The 13 other counts are in relation to alleged breaches of a violence restraining order taken out by the mother of his two children, Maylea Tinecheff.

Cousins recently appeared in a bizarre and widely criticised interview with Channel Seven.

The 2005 Brownlow Medallist spent eight months in jail in 2019 for breaching a restraining order granted to Tinecheff.

It was his third stint in prison.

The six-time All-Australian played 238 games for the Eagles before he was sacked by the club in 2007.

He served an AFL-imposed ban in 2008 before accepting a lifeline from the Richmond Tigers, making 32 appearances before calling time on his career in 2010.
