John Longmire potentially has a tough call to make if Lance Franklin is right to play against Geelong, while some Essendon big men are facing the chop.
A pair of returning guns may also have a few Port Adelaide players nervous ahead of team selection.
The Sporting News has all the latest selection news.

Brisbane vs. Richmond teams
Chris Fagan could potentially welcome veteran Dayne Zorko back from injury for Thursday night's clash with Richmond.
If Zorko does get the nod, Kai Lohmann could be the man to miss out.
Callum Ah Chee and Noah Answerth are knocking on the door, potentially putting pressure on the likes of Deven Robertson.
For the Tigers, Jacob Hopper looks ready to return and can swap straight in for the injured Dion Prestia.
Marlion Pickett's club-imposed suspension has expired and could return, while Noah Cumberland is also available following a calf issue.
Hugo Ralphsmith was the sub in their round 14 win over St Kilda and may be muscled out, while Maurice Rioli Jnr was quiet in that game and could be the unlucky one.
Sydney vs. Geelong teams
The Swans' shortage on talls looks like abating slightly with Lance Franklin and Tom McCartin both a chance to feature against the Cats.
Lewis Melican would be the one most likely to make way for McCartin, while any of Hayden McLean (3 goals), Joel Amartey (4) and Logan McDonald (4) would be unlucky after all performing strongly in the big win over West Coast.
Will Hayward could also come in after being a late withdrawal, with Ryan Clarke potentially missing out.
Geelong will almost certainly welcome back Patrick Dangerfield and Esava Ratugolea, while Jeremy Cameron is out with concussion.
Jack Bowes was the sub in the win over Melbourne and could make way for Dangerfield.
Adelaide vs. North Melbourne teams
Nick Murray will be put through a fitness test ahead of the clash with North. James Borlase or Mark Keane could replace him if he pulls up short.
Lachie Murphy and Lachie Sholl were fairly quiet in the loss to Collingwood and may be pushed out of the the 22 for sub Ned McHenry or Harry Shoenberg who continues to impress in the twos.
For the Roos, Luke Davies-Uniacke will come in to the side, while Flynn Perez was strong in the VFL.
Eddie Ford, Phoenix Spicer and Miller Bergman could make way, while Callum Coleman-Jones may be dropped if North want to bring in Tristan Xerri.

Western Bulldogs vs. Fremantle teams
The Dogs will need to replace Liam Jones and Tim O'Brien down back, Ryan Gardiner, James O'Donnell and Josh Bruce the most likely options.
Fremantle's James Aish is cleared to play and could shunt Neil Erasmus out of the 22.
Alex Pearce and Michael Johnson have pulled up well after knocks and should be right to go.
Gold Coast vs. Collingwood teams
The Suns have a pretty bare injury list but Touk Miller is still at least a week away, meaning the Suns aren't expected to make any changes.
Collingwood aren't likely to tinker too much with a winning formula.
Should they wish to bring in one of many in-form players from the reserves, such as Finn Macrae or Trent Bianco, Ash Johnson or Bobby Hill would be among the first to be dropped.
Essendon vs. Port Adelaide teams
The Bombers could look to shake things up after a disappointing loss to Fremantle.
Jye Menzie was the sub against the Dockers while tall Nick Bryan was taken off.
Sam Weideman has struggled to impact the scoreboard lately, with Nick Hind, Patrick Voss and Massimo D'Ambrosio the next in line to come in.
The high-flying Port Adelaide team may be tempted to bring in Junior Rioli and the now-fit again Xavier Duursma.
Josh Sinn, Riley Bonner and Jed McEntee may be looking over their shoulder if Ken Hinkley does make a change.
Hawthorn vs. Carlton teams
Changkuoth Jiath should return from injury to face the Blues, while Josh Ward could be included after a big performance in the VFL.
One of Josh Weddle or Connor McDonald could miss out for Jiath, while in the middle, Lachie Bramble could make way for Ward.
Matt Cottrell's suspension could open the door for Zac Fisher or George Hewett to return to Carlton's senior team for round 16.
Jack Martin was quiet prior to being subbed last time out and may be given a stint in the twos.
Melbourne vs. GWS teams
For Melbourne, Michael Hibberd is out injured which should see Jake Bowey come straight in.
A host of players are impressing at reserve level, including Adam Tomlinson, Ben Brown, Josh Schache and Jake Melksham.
James Jordon was subbed off in the loss to Geelong and might be the one to miss out if any changes are made.
The Giants are likely to bring Jesse Hogan and Nick Haynes back in for the clash, with Lachie Whitfield to go out due to suspension.
Aaron Cadman was quiet against the Dockers before the bye and may be the one to miss out in place of Hogan.
West Coast vs. St Kilda teams
It's another case of instability at the Eagles with a host of fresh injuries from their drubbing against Sydney.
Elliot Yeo, Sam Petrevski-Seton and Jack Williams look like missing, although Jamie Cripps and Shannon Hurn could both return from their own fitness issues.
Campbell Chesser, Zane Trew and Xavier O'Neill are all in the frame to play as well.
For the Saints, they could consider some changes after two losses on the trot.
Jack Billings and Jack Bytel are banging down the door, with sub Cooper Sharman, Ryan Byrnes and Mattaes Phillipou potentially in the gun.
