Geelong superstar Gary Ablett's wild month has finally landed him a suspension.

After narrowly avoiding sanction for two separate high shots the past few weeks, Ablett was offered a one-match ban for his jab on Gold Coast's Anthony Miles.

Geelong and Ablett chose not to challenge the ban at the tribunal on Tuesday night.

AFL match review officer Michael Christian handed down his report on Monday, grading Ablett's strike as intentional conduct with low impact to the head.

Check out the incident below.

''Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact and high contact. The incident was classified as a one-match sanction,'' the match review statement read.

Ablett will now miss a game through suspension for the first time in his 331-game career, sitting out the Cats' clash with Sydney at Kardinia Park on Saturday evening.

It was a quiet weekend for Christian who dished out no other suspensions.

St Kilda midfielder Luke Dunstan was fined $2000 for striking Carlton player Michael Gibbons, while Melbourne midfielder Clayton Oliver and Greater Western Sydney forward Toby Greene were each fined $2000 for respective striking incidents in the only other charges.
