AFL injury list: The injuries ahead of round 15 image

Another round of AFL is in the books and another weekend of action lurks just around the corner.

We've got all the latest word on which of your club's players are due back soon and which ones are set for a spell on the sidelines.

This week, a star Pie faces a long stint on the sidelines, Carlton could welcome back their skipper while a host of star Eagles are set to miss out.

ADELAIDE INJURIES

The Crows need some relief and they may get it with Rory Sloane , Rory Laird , Tom Lynch Luke Brown and Riley Knight all a chance to take on West Coast on Saturday. Eddie Betts , Mitch McGovern and Paul Hunter should return in the next month.

BRISBANE INJURIES

Harris Andrews is out indefinitely after the big concussion he copped against the Giants, though Daniel McStay could return in his place from a shin injury. Mitch Robinson (toe) and Rohan Bewick (hand) both face fitness tests ahead of the clash with Fremantle. Matt Eagles and Tom Bell are both listed as three weeks away.

CARLTON INJURIES

Lachie Plowman hurt his medial ligament in his right knee against Collingwood and will miss the rest of the season. Levi Casboult will likely miss a couple of weeks after breaking a finger in the warm up. Marc Murphy should make his long-awaited return, while Matthew Kreuzer and Caleb Marchbank are less likely.

COLLINGWOOD INJURIES

Adam Treloar 's season hangs in the balance after a rare double hamstring injury. He goes in for surgery later in the week.  Ben Reid (calf), Jamie Elliott , Darcy Moore , Travis Varcoe and Josh Smith (all hamstring) should be in selection conversations to face the Suns, though the trip to Gold Coast may delay their returns. Jarryd Blair and  Alex Fasolo look around a month away, with  James Aish further. Daniel Wells may not play again this season after having surgery on his foot.


 

ESSENDON INJURIES

The Bombers won't get any of their injured brigade back in time to face North Melbourne in round 15. Darcy Parish is a few weeks away, with David Zaharakis and Joe Daniher hoping to return in the next six weeks. Marty Gleeson and Mason Redman are listed as six to eight weeks away.

FREMANTLE INJURIES

The Dockers should welcome back Taylin Duman for the clash with Brisbane though it may come too soon for Alex Pearce . Bradley Hill is a chance to feature in the WAFL after a long stint on the sidelines. Harley Bennell 's return date from a wrist injury is less certain.

GEELONG INJURIES

Geelong could welcome back  Nakia Cockatoo,   Daniel Menzel, Stewart Crameri and Zac Smith  for the clash against the Bulldogs, though it could be through the VFL for some of them. Lincoln McCarthy should be playing within the month.

GOLD COAST INJURIES

Co-captain Steven May faces a fitness test on his ankle ahead of the clash with the Pies, while Rory Thompson should be passed fit. Matt Rosa , Pearce Hanley , Jack Bowes and Brayden Fiorini are targeting comebacks in the next few weeks.

GWS INJURIES

Rory Lobb is progressing well with his back injury and should only miss two more weeks. Toby Greene , Brett Deledio and Daniel Lloyd are looking at month longer on the sidelines, while Tom Scully is listed at six to eight weeks away and may not feature again in 2018.

HAWTHORN INJURIES

Veteran Shaun Burgoyne has tweaked a hamstring and will be kept out for a month or so, though Jack Gunston should be right to play this weekend despite a calf complaint.  Grant Birchall continues on the comeback trail from his long-term knee injury while Cyril Rioli is out indefinitely as he has headed home to the NT for personal reasons.


 

MELBOURNE INJURIES

Dean Kent  may make a return from his hamstring injury in the VFL while Aaron vandenBerg  and Pat McKenna  are ramping up their training after long-term injuries. Jayden Hunt is still more than a month away with his ankle injury.

NORTH MELBOURNE INJURIES

A stirring win against the Dogs but North lose Billy Hartung to a hamstring. Ben Jacobs needs to overcome concussion to face Essendon this week, while Jarrod Waite 's calf continues to trouble him. Luke Davies-Uniacke is a chance for a senior recall, with the rest of the wounded Roos are several weeks away

PORT ADELAIDE INJURIES

Matthew Broadbent may feature at SANFL level after a long layoff with an ankle injury. Trent McKenzie is several weeks off with a quad problem.

RICHMOND INJURIES

David Astbury should return from his ankle injury in time to take on Sydney on Thursday night. Dion Prestia is in the mix but may be given a week or two at reserve level. Bachar Houli is still a week away with this groin complaint.

ST KILDA INJURIES

Jarryn Geary (calf), Jimmy Webster (groin) and Bailey Rice (concussion) are all in the frame to play Melbourne on Sunday afternoon. Blake Acres should return next week and Ben Long is a month or so away.

SYDNEY INJURIES

Veteran Jarrad McVeigh will take on Richmond on Thursday after overcoming his calf injury.  Sam Reid and Lewis Melican  are in the mix to make their returns in the NEAFL but may be given another week of training.

WEST COAST INJURIES

It doesn't look like the Eagles will get any cattle back for the trip to face Adelaide, with Mark LeCras (wrist), Josh Kennedy (leg), Jack Darling (ankle), Tom Barrass (back), Eric McKenzie (toe) and Daniel Venables (ankle) all facing several more weeks out.


 

WESTERN BULLDOGS INJURIES

Matt Suckling could return from an Achilles problem to face Geelong, though the rest of the injured Dogs are still in the vet. Jack Macrae Clay Smith , Tim English , Bailey Dale , Tory Dickson and Jack Redpath are expected to return over the next month or so, in that order.
