AFL Grand Final: West Coast Eagles show pure class in post-match clean up image

Guaranteed, the West Coast Eagles would have woken up with a headache or two this morning.

After taking out the AFL Premiership with a five-point victory over the Collingwood Magpies, the Eagles celebrated in true footy fashion – with beers, beers, and more beers.

The Premiers showed the ultimate sign of respect as they cleaned up their change rooms before leaving the MCG.

Norm Smith medallist Luke Shuey held an Esky as his fellow teammates picked up beer bottles and other evidence of their post-match party.

The Eagles aren’t the first club enforce the incredible gesture.

The Japanese football team left their changerooms absolutely spotless after they were knocked out of the FIFA World Cup in a narrow 3 -2 loss to Belgium.

But it wasn’t just the post-match clean-up that the West Coast will be remembered for.

The Eagles stole the show with a dance solo centre-stage, a ripping fart and a green Gatorade shower during the grand final presentation.

Coach Adam Simpson was hilariously interrupted while addressing the crowd by an ill-timed fart.

“I’m just so proud of the group, being the frontline of the footy club in that sense and it’s taken us a few years ... someone farted just then at the back, who was that?” Simpson said.

Jack Redden was accused as the culprit by his teammates, but he firmly denied his guilt.
