The season is over for ten teams and that means exit interviews and some tough conversations with uncontracted players.

North Melbourne, Port Adelaide and Western Bulldogs all announced several delistings on Tuesday, leaving a host of careers in limbo.

Former Hawk Billy Hartung joined the Roos at the end of last season but hasn't done enough to convince them to keep him on the list.

Hartung played 13 games with North before a hamstring injury saw him lose his place in the side.

The 23-year-old never found his way back into Brad Scott's best 22 and will now face the prospect of not finding a place on an AFL list for 2019.

He was joined by Tom Jeffries, Oscar Junker, Gordon Narrier, Daniel Nielson, and Josh Williams on the chopping block at Arden St.

Nielson and Williams were the only other delisted Roos to have played a senior game.

The future of Gold Coast midfielder Michael Barlow is also up in the air after the uncontracted 30-year-old, who has played 141 games between Fremantle and the Suns, was also let go.

Barlow was joined by Josh Jaska, Max Spencer and Mackenzie Willis in the Suns' departure lounge.

Former number four draft pick Jimmy Toumpas headlined Port Adelaide's delistings.

The 24-year-old South Australian was a highly rated junior, captaining his state at the under-18 national championships before being selected in the first round by Melbourne with the compensation pick they received after Tom Scully's departure to GWS.

He managed 27 games in three seasons with the Dees before being traded to the Power in a pick swap.

Toumpas played 10 AFL games in 2016 but didn't crack the seniors in the past two seasons.

Ugandan-born Emmanuel Irra was also not offered a new deal.

The 24-year-old joined the club from South Adelaide via the rookie draft in 2016 but failed to play a senior game.

Fresh off their 12th-placed finish, Adelaide also announced the delistings of Harry Dear, Jackson Edwards and Ben Jarman.

All three were yet debut for the senior side.

Edwards (Tyson) and Jarman (Darren) had been father-son selections.

Western Bulldogs also announced that Kieran Collins and Nathan Mullenger-McHugh wouldn't be offered new contracts for 2019.
