AFL Coleman Medal leaderboard: Ben Brown closes the gap in round 20 image

North Melbourne spearhead Ben Brown was the main beneficiary of Jeremy Cameron sitting out round 20, closing the gap on the GWS forward in the race for the Coleman Medal.

Brown kicked four goals in the Roos' win over Hawthorn while Cameron could only watch as his side scored a two-point Sydney Derby win, succumbing to a tight calf.

Cameron is considered a good chance to feature in round 21 however, leaving him in pole position to claim the medal as he holds a five-goal lead with three rounds to play.

The next two men in line also featured among the goals this week, with Tom Hawkins backing up his five in round 19 with three more in the Cats' loss to Fremantle.

While Richmond's Tom Lynch continues to find form at the right time of year, also finishing with three goals as the Tigers took care of Melbourne on Saturday night.

As for the small forwards, Charlie Cameron leads the way on 41 goals, having booted four against the Bulldogs on Sunday.

Looking ahead to this weekend, Jeremy Cameron, should he play, will meet Hawthorn in Canberra on Friday, while Brown and North face a tricky trip to take on Geelong and their miserly defence.
