AFL Coleman Medal leaderboard: Jack Riewoldt's five goals gives him big lead image

It will take a big effort to knock Jack Riewoldt off the top of the Coleman Medal leaderboard after the Richmond spearhead kicked five goals against Western Bulldogs.

Riewoldt came into round 23 with a two-goal lead over North Melbourne's Ben Brown, but a strong performance at the MCG extended that to seven.

Brown and the Roos take on St Kilda in the final game of the round, with the big man needing at least eight goals to take out his first Coleman Medal and prevent Riewoldt adding a third to his colection.

Geelong's Tom Hawkins started the round four off the lead but could only manage the two goals in the Cats' big win over Gold Coast.

Sydney's Lance Franklin did pose a threat but a groin injury has ruled him out of the clash with the Hawks at the SCG.

Buddy famously kicked 10 goals in the final round last year to snatch the Coleman Medal from West Coast's Josh Kennedy.
