North Melbourne's Ben Brown has maintained his seven-goal lead at the top of the Coleman Medal table with a four-goal performance against Gold Coast in round 16.

Swans star Lance Franklin also kicked four in the loss to Geelong, moving him into outright second.

Luke Breust was the big mover of the round, kicking six goals against Western Bulldogs to move into a tie for third.

He joined Jesse Hogan on 36 goals after the Melbourne forward booted two goals against Fremantle.

West Coast's Josh Kennedy has slipped out of the top ten after spending several weeks on the sidelines with injury.
