AFL 2020: Kane Cornes reignites feud with 'mentally fragile' Adelaide star Taylor Walker image

Port Adelaide legend Kane Cornes has reignited his feud with Adelaide star Taylor Walker, claiming that he is so far in his head that he has become 'mentally fragile.'

The latest round of the saga started over the weekend when Cornes threatened to expose a 'big-name player' that had been sending him abusive messages whilst on air.

This got the attention of Walker, who called out Cornes on Twitter for being unable to take criticism

"Simple. This bloke can dish it out but can’t take it," he said via Twitter.

"Grow up up and stop sooking!"

.

This was all Cornes needed to fire off his latest rounds of attack on the 29-year-old, taking aim at his mindset and the culture surrounding his club.

“I think Taylor Walker’s a good guy and I like the fact that he’s outspoken and not boring," Cornes told Footy Classified.

"There’s a lot of boring people in the football media and the player fraternity. But what it has given me a great insight into is Taylor Walker’s mindset,”

“If he is that rattled by a comment that is so unrelated to him that he feels like he has to continually chip in, it paints a picture to me of what is reflective of his career and his football club.

“When there are big moments, they don’t have the mental toughness to perform.”

Cornes then highlighted his performance in the 2017 AFL Grand Final along with receiving prank calls on New Year's Eve as a sign that Walker, along with the rest of the Adelaide football club, were mentally fragile.

“If an unrelated media member gets him chipping in every time if you’ve got Taylor Walker and his mates prank calling me on New Year’s Eve, that is how far I’m inside this guy’s head, to the point where he’s mentally fragile,” Cornes said.

“That’s why we’re seeing efforts like this.

"That’s why the club is employing Collective Minds to work on the players’ mindset.

"They’re a mentally fragile group.

“You wouldn’t see Joel Selwood, Trent Cotchin or Scott Pendlebury continually carrying on and prank calling a media person on New Year’s Eve.”

It marks another round in the heated feud between the pair, with Walker calling Cornes a d---head" off-air during a cross to the Sunday Footy Show in 2018, unaware that Cornes could hear him through the headsets.

This would continue into 2019, with Walker firing another shot at the 300-gamer's history as a firefighter after the SEN studios had to be evacuated due to a fire.

More recently, Cornes has found himself in a cross-code feud with former Panthers forward and Triple M host Mark Geyer over criticism of Swans star Isaac Heeney over a video he posted to social media over the weekend.
