Former WBA heavyweight champion Lucas Browne has called out Paul Gallen for a fight as he continues to weigh in on the 'code war' fight between the NRL great and AFL counterpart Barry Hall.

In another installment in the intriguing war of words that has surrounded Friday's main event, much of which has centred around Gallen's anger towards Hall's preference for two-minute rounds, Browne has given Gallen a huge spray.

In a fiery video posted on Twitter, he's propositioned a fight with the recently retired Cronulla legend, and threatened to show him what it's like fighting an "actual boxer".

"Gallen's basically come out and said Hall's a pussy because he only wants to fight six two-minute rounds," Browne said in the video.

"You can't expect the guy to fight the three-minute rounds on his pro debut, get real, let's be real.

"Mr. Gallen if you want to fight six three-minute rounds against an actual boxer, I'll take you on no problems whatsoever.

"So get through Hall as you say you will, and I'll take you on no problems whatsoever.

"Go through your mate Matt Rose, and I'll do it for free, I'll show you exactly what a boxer is like and I'll knock you on your arse like a boxer would."

Browne has also come out swinging at promoter for the highly-anticipated bout Danny Green in recent days in a furious rant about him being snubbed of an undercard appearance.

However, Green told Sporting News the prospective opponents the former heavyweight champ had presented didn't match the stage.

“Someone came to us and said ‘will you put Lucas Browne on your show?’ Green said.

“We said yes - that’s a fact. We said yes.

“But the opponent that Lucas Browne wanted to fight was nowhere near credible enough for us to put it on.

“We weren’t prepared to discredit the sport of boxing by putting on someone who wasn’t a credible opponent for someone of Lucas Browne’s experience.

"With all due respect, Lucas’ star has shone. Now we’re looking for the future."

It prompted another reaction from Browne, who suggested Green was lying, and that he came to them with as many as eight potential opponents, all of which were denied.

"Danny Green has come out with an article of sorts saying they offered me a free fight on the show and all this sort of shit," Greene said.

"It was never free in any way. They also said that I didn't come up with any credible opponents. I came up with eight different options... they said no to all of them because they were too expensive.

"The only one they could come up with was Alex Leapai. I was excited to fight Alex Leapai but my trainer who is over in Thailand wouldn't be available.

"I'm sorry, but I hate lying c***s and I really hate when people talk bullshit at my expense.

"Thank you Greeny for being a dog c**t and coming up with some bullshit but that's absolutely crap."
