Port Adelaide vice-captain Ollie Wines has inked a new four-year extension, giving the surest indication he aims to see out his AFL career in Power colours.
With his current contract expiring at the conclusion of the 2022 season, Wines' extension will see him remain at Alberton until the end of 2026.
The commitment of the star inside midfielder, who averaged 22 touches, four tackles and five clearances to help the club claim the minor premiership this campaign, is a key boost to Port Adelaide's prospects in 2021 and beyond.

“The club is in a really strong position going forward and to be able to be a part of its long-term future is something I’m looking forward to,” Wines said.
“I think we’ve built a powerful list that I’m excited about so I was only too happy to jump at the opportunity to be locked away to allow me to concentrate on doing what I need to do to put us in a position to chase our premiership goals.
“I’m so excited to be part of this young developing group and I can’t wait to see what we can do together.”
Wines was taken by Port Adelaide with the seventh pick in the 2012 draft and making his debut in round 1 of the following season against Melbourne.
He went on to become the fastest player to reach the 50 game milestone for the Power and feature in 158 games in total for the club.
Power GM of football Chris Davies described Wines' re-signing as a significant step forward for the club as it looks to emulate the feats of this season.
“Ollie has shown that he’s a key figure at our club and his performance in the back half of 2020 in many ways drove the team to perform the way it did,” he said.
“His call to recommit to our club early demonstrates his leadership and belief in the direction the club is heading.”
