Carlton have rewarded a refreshed Jack Silvagni with a two-year extension, to ensure the famous Silvagni bloodlines would continue within the club.
The club announced on Monday that it had offered Silvagni a new two-year deal that would keep him at the famous club until the end of 2021.
After battling for consistent form in the early stages of the Blues' campaign, Silvagni has shown a drastic turn in form under new coach David Teague, who was announced as the club's new senior coach last week.
Since Teague took over as interim coach following the sacking of Brendan Bolton, Silvagni has averaged 15.8 disposals and 4.7 marks, and kicked seven goals in those nine games.

It's arguably been the key period in the 21-year-old's 59 game career with the Blues, after he was drafted to the club as a father-son talent in the 2015 AFL draft.
Silvagni admitted he was ecstatic to be given the opportunity to continue his childhood dream as part of a promising group of players.
“It is special to play for this football club, I’m excited to re-sign and repay the faith shown in me,” Silvagni said on Monday.
“The group here is showing signs that the hard work is paying off and we are on the right track to take this club forward, I really do believe that.
“I look forward to working as hard as I can to help this group achieve the success.”
Carlton list manager Michael Agresta said he hoped Silvagni's recent encouraging form was a sign of further things to come for the youngster.
“Jack has put in a mountain of hard work over the last four years, his development has continued to impress us and this year he has once again taken another step forward,” he said.
“His versatility has become a feature of his game and a real asset for us. We are really looking forward to seeing Jack continue to develop over the next two years.”
