'Incredibly boring': Rafael Nadal heckler explains bizarre Australian Open eviction image

The spectator who was spectacularly booted out of Rod Laver Arena for jeering at Rafael Nadal has had her say on the bizarre incident that has gone viral.

Security escorted the woman out midway through the second set of Nadal's second-round match-up with Michael Mmoh for yelling expletives as the 20-time Grand Slam champion was prepared to serve.

It's said she yelled "hurry up, you OCD f**k" at Nadal with her middle finger up.

Nadal was clearly confused, giggling on court and then joking post-match she'd perhaps had "too much gin or tequila".

Speaking on 3AW, the woman explained her behaviour and nonchalantly said she was stunned by the interest it generated.

"I'm certainly not a fan of Nadal," the unidentified woman said.

"I think he's incredibly boring and he goes through all those OCD rituals all the time.

"The only reason I happened to be at the match is because I wanted a ticket to see the previous female match between Coco Gauff and Elina Svitolina and I stuck around to watch the boring Nadal.

"The very fact that apparently pictures of me have gone viral, even around the world, reflects on how incredibly boring his matches are, because why would you want to focus on a spectator?"

The woman seemingly didn't see her actions as worthy of being ordered out of the arena.

"They said: 'Right you have to go' and I said: 'Why? I'm a spectator, I've paid for my ticket, why aren't I allowed to be a bit vocal?" she said.

"I mean I was vocal in the previous match calling out for Svitolina, because she's one of my faves.

"The other thing is I am a tennis aficionado. I come down to Melbourne (from Sydney) each year, especially for the tennis. I'm so glad that it was held this year."

The incident had no impact on Nadal’s performance as he cruised through to the third round where he will play Cameron Norrie.
