Erin Molan was forced to spend more than a week in hospital after breaking her arm in a scary fall at her home.

Molan was out of action for nine days after breaking her arm and a bone in her hand.

Molan's employer, Channel Nine, broke the news on Sunday, reporting that the sport reporter and presenter had slipped down a flight of stairs at home while getting a bottle for her baby daughter.

Molan returned home over the weekend and promised to be back in front of the camera soon.

"Our best wishes go out to Erin Molan," said presenter Cam Williams.

"Erin has spent the last 10 days in hospital with bad breaks to her arm and hand after falling down stairs while she was getting a bottle for her daughter Eliza during the middle of the night.

"Thankfully she's now resting at home.

"She'll be back reading the sport as soon as she's feeling up to it."

Speaking to 2GB, Molan revealed more details about the injury.

“It’s fairly painful. It’s one of the more painful breaks you can do," she said.

"But my attitude is always that it could have been so much worse.

"I live another day so, hooray.

“I’ve broken the arm bone off entirely.”

The hospital stay comes after a turbulent few weeks for Molan, after revelations she had fallen out with fellow Channel 9 NRL talent Andrew Johns.
