There were NRL victories for South Sydney Rabbitohs and Newcastle Knights on Sunday as both sides made it three wins in a row.

Defending champions the Rabbitohs earned a 20-6 win over Wests Tigers, who themselves were aiming for a third victory on the bounce.

The Knights, meanwhile, had a much tougher time of things in their 20-18 success against Gold Coast Titans.

Dylan Walker played a key role in the Rabbitohs' result, chalking up two tries despite carrying a hand injury.

Alex Johnston and Greg Inglis also crossed the whitewash, with the Tigers' solitary score coming from Robbie Farah.

Newcastle left it late to extend their 100 per cent record, as Jeremy Smith's 75th-minute try - coolly converted by Tyrone Roberts - proved decisive.
