Western Bulldogs midfielder Bailey Smith is currently under investigation by his club following the emergence of pictures that appear to show him holding a bag filled with a white substance.
The images surfaced on social media on Saturday morning.
There is also a video in circulation online of Smith at a party, where he appears to lean away from the camera before returning to the frame.
It is unclear when or where the images and video were taken.
The club has since released a statement addressing the situation.
“The Western Bulldogs are aware of images of Bailey Smith circulating on social media," it read.
“The Club is investigating the legitimacy of these images and is not in a position to comment further at this time.”

A video is also in circulation of Smith at a party where he leans away from the camera before returning.
It's unclear when they were recorded.
Dogs have been contacted for comment
Smith is currently serving a suspension for headbutting Geelong's Zach Tuohy last week.
