Brisbane Lions midfielder Jarryd Lyons has won the J.J Liston trophy - the award for the VFL's best player in 2023.

The VFLW equivalent Lambert-Pearce medal was shared by three players in Jordan Mifsud (Box Hill), Akayla Peterson (Box Hill) and Charlotte Simpson (Geelong).
