Richmond Tigers star Tom Lynch has been found not guilty by the AFL tribunal after being cited for striking in the clash with Essendon over the weekend.

The 27-year old was alleged to have struck Bombers player Michael Hurley, but the Tigers succesfully argued that he pushed him in the chest.

Lynch had been referred to the tribunal after his third striking fine in two games, which meant he could be referred under the AFL's “three and subsequent offences” clause.

The full-forward was facing a one-game ban, but will now be free to play West Coast on Thursday night.

Lynch has been the talk of the town lately, and has copped plenty from rival players - Mitch Robinson even labelled him a 'w***er' last week.
