Brisbane legend and 2001 Brownlow Medalist Jason Akermanis has taken aim at St Kilda amid their ongoing on-field and off-field troubles.
The Saints recently sacked senior coach Brett Ratten shortly after the AFL Trade Period in what was a surprising move from a team who missed finals again.
Ratten signed an extension with the club in July for two more years and now won't be able to see out his contract.
Akermanis believes the decision to remove their coach 'this late in the season is very weird'.

"In the end, they sack you for one of few reasons," Akermanis told The Sporting News in an exclusive interview.
"Generally they don't think you're going to perform, which is really not accurate with Brett, or and most likely, the players have had a review and majority didn't want to work with him."
St Kilda began 2022 extremely promising, sitting 4th after 11 rounds with eight wins and three losses but failed to turn that into a finals appearance.
Looking strongly at the trade period, Jordan De Goey was on their radar as the star Pie weighed up his future.
De Goey ultimately chose a club (Collingwood) bound for success over the Saints, which leads Akermanis to believe that no one wants to head to Moorabbin.
"They’re not a destination club, people aren’t prepared to go there," the three-time premiership player said.
"In the trade period, it was quite poor ... they didn't land anyone they should have. It was pretty much bombed.
"Their list has some ageing A-graders who are probably turning into B-graders. I'm not that impressed on their ball usage."
In trying to improve their list and push for finals once again, Walsh said his aim was to 'inject top-end talent' of which has failed during the trade period.
Zaine Cordy was signed from the Western Bulldogs as the only inclusion into the club, while Ben Long wanted out and found himself at Gold Coast for 2023.
