The dust has finally settled on AFL post-season activity and all 18 clubs have completed their lists for 2019.

Who’s come in via trades, free agency and the national and rookie drafts? Who’s gone out the other way?

And, most importantly, how does the list look after all the changes?

This week, Sporting News is going through each club’s changes to analyse whether steps have been taken forwards, backwards or if they’re just treading water.

Richmond’s 2019 list

Keeping Jacob Townsend means the entire 2017 premiership 22 is intact with no one falling off the deep end just yet, though Shaun Grigg, Bachar Houli, Shane Edwards and Jack Riewoldt will all be 30 come round one.

The ‘midfield depth players’ the Tigers lost were more than replaced by draftees, with Collier-Dawkins and Ross looking like genuine long-term prospects.

And then there’s Lynch.

Verdict

Richmond needed another key position player to support Riewoldt and came away with one of the best in the league. Add in the young midfielders and it’s a winning off-season for the premiership favourites.
