Adelaide vs Geelong: Patrick Dangerfield in hot water following head clash with Jake Kelly image

Geelong star Patrick Dangerfield may have found himself in hot water, following a nasty clash with Adelaide defender Jake Kelly.

During their opening round clash, the 30-year old bumped into Kelly off the ball and collided heads, leaving the Crows defender bloodied and forced from the field.

While not intentional, Dangerfield could still find himself in trouble with the MRO.

If he is found guilty of foul play for the incident and misses a game, it would rule him out of contention for the Brownlow Medal this year.

Adelaide lead the Cats 73-35 at half time of the game.
