The dust has finally settled on AFL post-season activity and all 18 clubs have completed their lists for 2019.

Who’s come in via trades, free agency and the national and rookie drafts? Who’s gone out the other way?

And, most importantly, how does the list look after all the changes?

North Melbourne’s 2019 list

It’s hard to say what North does and doesn’t need after a season that defied all expectations and suggested the list is in better shape than anyone thought.

Outside run was identified as a must-fix area and the Roos ticked off that box beautifully with Hall and Polec, while Pittard and Tyson could also prove to be smart recruits.

Thomas came at a fair price in the draft and, while he may take his time to get up to AFL level, a long and exciting career awaits.

Waite’s the only big loss, although Preuss was more than handy as the fluctuating Todd Goldstein’s understudy.

Verdict

The North Melbourne of 2018 needed outside run to be added and it was, but did we see the real Kangaroos on display or are there bigger cracks that could open up soon? Either way, it’s a better looking list for the additions.
