Collingwood has re-signed for two more years with Collingwood but the deal has not necessarily ended the Magpies’ interest in Gold Coast captain Steven May.

Moore had been connected with a potential move north to the Sydney Swans, but Collingwood list manager Ned Guy told AFL Trade Radio on Monday a new deal had been finalised.

Industry consensus was the Pies could either afford Moore or May – not both – however, Guy said there was still interest in the Suns’ star defender.

"Steven is contracted at the Gold Coast and if they look at doing something we'd love to have a conversation, but we obviously respect his contract at the Suns," Guy said.

"We'll wait to see what happens, but I think every club would have interest in a player like Steven."

Hawthorn and Melbourne are also believed to have strong interest in May, but at the moment none of the jockeying clubs have a high enough draft pick or available players to trade for the contracted Sun.

However, the Demons could find themselves with a top-five selection if they agree to trade Jesse Hogan to Fremantle.

Guy also said Collingwood was close to re-signing defender Tom Langdon and hopes the deal should get done in the next couple of days.

"We're hoping to lock away Tom Langdon sooner rather than later," Guy said.

"We'll hopefully have some good conversations in the next day or so and hopefully that will help get that done, then we'll see what else is out there."
