Carlton's injury woes are set to continue with three senior players, led by Adam Saad, out of Saturday's match against GWS.

The Cats will welcome back three senior stars for the blockbuster against Brisbane, while the Lions should regain an important part of their defence.

St Kilda vs. Western Bulldogs teams

St Kilda will be praying Max King is passed fit as they attempt to square their win-loss ledger at 3-3.

King came off with a knee injury in the third quarter versus GWS and is up against a five-day break.

Debutant Hugo Garcia is likely to start the match after being the substitute in his first match, while Zak Jones and Arie Schoenmaker are pushing for senior selection with their VFL form.

Dan Butler and Cooper Sharman could face the axe after only getting five possessions between each other in Canberra.

Tom Liberatore's concussion is a huge blow for the Western Bulldogs, but three ball winners have been performing in the VFL.

Caleb Daniel, James Harmes and Riley Garcia were impressive for Footscray and could all come into the side that was defeated by Essendon.

The axe could fall on the likes of Harvey Gallagher, Laitham Vandermeer and Oskar Baker.

Adelaide vs. Essendon teams

After a magnificent win against Carlton in Melbourne, expect there to be minimal unforced changes from the Crows.

However, Matt Crouch has copped a one-match suspension and Jordon Butts has hurt his hamstring.

Sam Berry will likely be upgraded from the sub to replace Crouch after his final quarter heroics against Carlton.

Top draftee Daniel Curtin is still performing strongly at SANFL level and could come in for Butts.

Essendon will lose pressure forward Jye Menzie (shoulder) but after a win, selection shouldn't be too busy.

Nick Hind could be elevated into the starting line-up, with Dylan Shiel and Elijah Tsatas have been playing solidly in the VFL.

Collingwood vs. Port Adelaide teams

Fresh off a bye, Collingwood will be hoping Scott Pendlebury (ribs) passes a fitness test.

Finlay Macrae also returned to the VFL last weekend and dominated with 31 possessions in midfield.

Port Adelaide should get stronger with Travis Boak (back) available for selection.

However, a stirring win over Fremantle is likely to mean changes are few and far between.

Carlton vs. GWS teams

The Blues injury woes continue with Adam Saad (hamstring) out for the next six weeks, while Adam Cerra (hamstring) and Mitch McGovern (hamstring) will also miss at least a couple of weeks.

Carlton's forced outs should see opportunity given to Lewis Young and Lachlan Cowan, while Alex Cincotta and Jaxon Binns will likely be considered.

Time could be running out for Orazio Fantasia, who kicked one goal from five disposals and only managed a single tackle.

GWS will be significantly weakened by the loss of Sam Taylor (concussion) and Stephen Coniglio (knee).

Losing Taylor is not ideal with Carlton forward guns Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay looming as tough match-ups.

Nick Haynes and Leek Aleer shape as the like-for-like replacements for Taylor, while Callan Ward should come in for Coniglio after a successful injury return in the VFL.

Brisbane vs. Geelong teams

Charlie Cameron has avoided suspension for Brisbane, who should be boosted by the return of Conor McKenna (hamstring).

After an excellent win against Melbourne there is unlikely to be many changes, but James Tunstill and Deven Robertson are pushing for senior minutes.

Callum Ah Chee has underperformed in recent weeks and could be sent back to the VFL to find form.

Geelong has the 'best' injury list in the AFL and it's only going to get better with Patrick Dangerfield (hamstring), Tom Hawkins and Jake Koladjashnij (both rested) to return.

Gary Rohan is likely to continue to build in the VFL after struggling in the twos last week on his injury return.

Shannon Neale and Connor O'Sullivan are likely to be among the unlucky omissions with the three stars returning.

West Coast vs. Fremantle teams

After getting their first win of the season, Liam Ryan could return to West Coast's senior team after a successful first game back from a serious hamstring injury in the WAFL.

Dom Sheed is available after getting WAFL minutes, as is Andrew Gaff.

Zane Trew has been bashing down the selection door over the last few weeks too.

Luke Edwards (concussion) will come out of the team.

Fremantle is almost certain to welcome back Sean Darcy (knee), while Michael Frederick (hamstring) should return straight away after a week off.

Sam Switkowski's concussion is likely to see an opportunity given to Cooper Simpson, who was super impressive in pre-season.

Sydney vs. Gold Coast teams

Following a bye and with the team sitting 5-1, it's unlikely John Longmire will make many changes at Sydney.

Luke Parker (arm) and Dane Rampe (hamstring) will miss at least one more week, while Angus Sheldrick (finger) could return in the VFL.

Gold Coast loses in-form small forward Malcom Rosas (hamstring) for the next two months, but has some players pushing for selection.

Ben Long kicked five goals as a small forward in the VFL, while Rory Atkins had 37 possessions.

Academy prospect Jake Rogers is getting closer to his first match.

North Melbourne vs. Hawthorn teams

The revolving door at North Melbourne is likely to be busy with Cam Zurhaar (calf), Miller Bergman (jaw) and Liam Shiels (calf) in the selection frame.

However, key defender Kallan Dawson (ankle) is out for a few weeks after doing ligament damage.

North Melbourne badly need defender Griffin Logue (knee), who is still two months away from returning.

Hawthorn could be boosted by the return of key forward Mitch Lewis (hamstring), while Changkuoth Jiath will play VFL after missing the early part of the season.

Will Day (foot) is also only a week away from being fit, but might come back through the VFL to build his fitness.
