Western Bulldog's Josh Schache is facing the chopping block as we head into round 17.
Coach Luke Beveridge experimented with three talls up forward, which didn't seem to work against Brisbane, as they lost by 41 points.
Schache had eight touches and two marks in a disappointing performance, arguably the quietest between Aaron Naughton and Jamarra Ugle-Hagan.
The 24-year-old has struggled to cement his spot in the side, playing six games so far this season and may be back into the reserves as soon as this weekend.
Tim English is also set to return, with Beveridge likely to persist with Ugle-Hagan.
Giant Xavier O'Halloran is set to make room for the returning Jacob Hopper, as the latter comes back from a knee injury.
O'Halloran has been serviceable in recent weeks but seems likely to be the unlucky one.
The 21-year-old only managed seven disposals from 80 per cent game time and failed to get into the match against the Hawks, as the Giants ran on to win by 22 points
Melbourne duo Mitch Brown and Sam Weideman could be facing the axe if star ruckman Max Gawn and Luke Jackson are deemed fit for the top of the table clash with Geelong.
Brown and Weideman were trialled as the big men around the stoppages with no recognisable ruckman available for Simon Goodwin.
Brown kicked two goals, had seven possessions and five marks while Weideman gathered 12 touches and 11 hit-outs.
If Jackson is unavailable for the clash against the Cats, expect Brown to make way first.
Swans half back Braeden Campbell could also make room for experienced runner Harry Cunningham.
Campbell struggled to get into the game, amassing a measly six disposals in 61 per cent game time, as Sydney fell short against the Bombers.
Cunningham had 38 touches and 15 marks in the reserves and is banging on the door for a senior call up, with the 20-year-old the likely victim.
