Kicking round 16 off is a Thursday night match-up between Brisbane and Western Bulldogs at the Gabba.
The Lions have been in shaky form of late and a win here against the Dogs will give them real confidence whereas Luke Beveridge's men need a victory to maintain their spot in the eight.
Carlton host St Kilda at Marvel Stadium on Friday night, while Collingwood travel to Metricon Stadium to take on top eight fancies Gold Coast.
Fremantle play Port Adelaide at Optus Stadium in a do-or-die clash for the Power, who are still a chance for finals.
Here at The Sporting News, we've put together our betting predictions for round 16:

Last week, we scored eight of our nine predictions, with Nick Daicos falling short of the estimated 30 disposals.
Brisbane (3rd) vs Western Bulldogs (8th)
In what is one of the more intriguing clashes in round 16, the Thursday night match-up between the Lions and the Dogs has plenty on the line, with top four chances and finals contention on line.
Brisbane's form of late hasn't been too great, with a demolition to reigning premiers last week potentially providing a wake-up call for the third place side.
Western Bulldogs have won five of their last six and are firing on all cylinders at the moment, including spearhead forward Aaron Naughton, who's on the toes of Coleman leaders Charlie Curnow and Jeremy Cameron.
For the Dogs to win this game, they're going to need a bag of goals from Naughton, who has kicked a goal in every game except one in 2022.
Aaron Naughton 2+ goals - $1.48
Carlton (5th) vs St Kilda (10th)
Carlton's resounding win over premiership fancy Fremantle last week was super impressive, especially seeing they have a long list of key figures out of the side.
St Kilda has now lost three on the trot and a fourth would be catastrophic for their 2022 hopes.
The Blues win this, and they could find themselves in the top four, lose and they're right in the mix of those vying for a spot in the eight.
Harry McKay and Curnow are arguably the game's best duo and have been a pretty safe punt in regards to goals being kicked.
With the pair short priced favourites for two or more goals, our prediction is on the Coleman leader Curnow to get off the leash.
Charlie Curnow 3+ goals - $1.98
Essendon (16th) vs Sydney (6th)
Looming as a danger game for Sydney, the Swans will want to win this one to help cement their spot as we near September.
Essendon has improved recently and were expected to deliver their fourth win against West Coast last week but fell by 10 points.
Peter Wright has eight goals in the past fortnight and is in tremendous form going into Saturday afternoon's game.
The Bombers did down the Saints two weeks ago, can they do it again?
Peter Wright 2+ goals - $1.50
Adelaide (13th) vs Melbourne (1st)
What seems like a one-sided affair, Melbourne's return to form excites their fans and a string of victories heading into the finals will have them primed for September.
However, Adelaide don't go away easily and they've defeated the Demons before when all odds were against them, so they shouldn't be taken lightly.
Despite all that, Clayton Oliver's 2022 season has been phenomenal and is likely to poll well in the Brownlow for his accumulation and damage with ball in hand.
Averaging 35 touches so far this year, Clarry will once again hit his mark and potentially tear apart the Crows.
Clayton Oliver 30+ disposals - $1.30
Geelong (2nd) vs North Melbourne (18th)
Geelong have won the last five and should make it six at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday night.
North Melbourne's season continues to go from bad to worse, with punters struggling to find their second win in 2022.
The Cats escaped last week with the four points but will see this game as a percentage booster, despite the absence of star defender Tom Stewart (suspension).
Jeremy Cameron has booted 23 goals in his past seven matches, with his newfound role where he pushes high up the ground, loses his opponent and gets in behind opposition defence proving to be lethal.
Expect him to do it again.
Jeremy Cameron 3+ goals - $1.38
Gold Coast (11th) vs Collingwood (7th)
Gold Coast couldn't make it four wins in a row, going down to Port Adelaide by two points in a thriller.
Collingwood however did make it five straight and games like this are ones they need to win if they're genuine contenders for the finals.
Built with a lot of intrigue, the Pies did come away with the four points earlier in the year at the MCG (round 7) but the Suns have historically troubled the black-and-white up at Metricon Stadium under dewy and unique conditions.
The margin between the two sides hasn't always reflected accurately the closeness of the game and we're predicting it to be a very tight contest, with whoever takes most of their chances winning the game.
Collingwood to win - $2.00
Richmond (9th) vs West Coast (17th)
Richmond is in a familiar position, ninth, but we expect it won't be for long. Despite the sudden improvement in West Coast, the Tigers look to be the stronger side and their last two losses have been by a total margin of only nine points.
The Eagles regained some stars over the past fortnight and challenged Geelong, but were able to steal their second win of the season against Essendon by 10 points.
Ruckman Nic Naitanui said that although finals are out of the picture for his side, West Coast still has the ability to shake things up and a shock win over Richmond at the MCG would definitely do that.
The Tigers just have to win this one and key forward Tom Lynch will be the one to take them there.
Being goalless in only one match this season, Lynch has averaged over three majors a game and looks as threatening as ever.
Tom Lynch 3+ goals - $1.92
GWS (14th) vs Hawthorn (15th)
Both sides have been admirable in 2022 without challenging significant positions on the ladder.
Since Mark McVeigh took over, the Giants have been playing inspired football, winning two games but losing in close games to Brisbane, Western Bulldogs and Collingwood.
Hawthorn have lost four straight and are leaving it up to too few of their stars to carry them over the line.
GWS' gun midfielders are the main reason for the honourable improvement, led by captains Josh Kelly and Stephen Coniglio getting their hands on the ball and returning to their damaging ways.
Coniglio has had a good season so far, with his last three weeks all over 30 disposals and at least one goal.
Stephen Coniglio 30+ disposals - $2.35
Fremantle (4th) vs Port Adelaide (12th)
Fremantle have been doing enough lately after a mid-season slump that saw them lose to Collingwood and Gold Coast.
Port Adelaide's season hangs by a thread and a loss here could result in 2022 being over.
The Dockers must win this game to remain in the top four otherwise face dropping into the heap of clubs rushing for positions fifth to eighth.
Todd Marshall has stood up when Ken Hinkley asked him to in the absence of Charlie Dixon and now is thriving even more so from the return of the ex-Sun.
Marshall has kicked 31 goals this year, with 11 of them coming from the last three weeks.
If Port Adelaide are to keep their finals hopes alive, the 23 year-old might just be the answer.
Todd Marshall 2+ goals - $1.53
