Sydney vs. Carlton prediction, tip, best bet

A mouth-watering Friday night clash sees Carlton travel to the SCG to face the ladder-leading Swans.

The Blues have been involved in five matches decided by a goal or less this season, winning three and losing two.

A spate of injuries have come at the wrong time for Michael Voss, who would dearly love all hands on deck for the trip to Sydney.

Jack Martin, Adam Cerra, Matt Cottrell and David Cuningham will all miss out, although Carlton's twin talls in Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing the Swans backline which will again be without Tom McCartin.

The Swans are four from four at home this season, with their smallest winning margin being 22 points.

Prediction: Sydney by 16 points

Best bet: Sydney -13.5 ($1.90)

Collingwood vs. Adelaide prediction, tip, best bet

The Pies host Adelaide at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.

After a shaky start, Collingwood are undefeated in six matches and have made their way into the top eight.

While the turnaround hasn't been quite as stark for the Crows, there are positive signs, picking up wins over Port Adelaide and Carlton, and drawing with Brisbane.

Both sides are dealing with injuries, Jeremy Howe and Jamie Elliott have been sidelined for Collingwood, while Crow Josh Worrell has suffered a broken arm.

Prediction: Collingwood by 12 points

Best bet: Adelaide +19.5 ($1.90)

GWS vs. Western Bulldogs prediction, tip, best bet

These two unlikely rivals meet in Western Sydney in the Saturday twilight slot.

The Bulldogs had won four straight against GWS prior to their clash in round 20 last year and always seem to get up for these clashes.

GWS haven't found the consistency of a bona fide premiership challenger yet and are coming off two defeats.

The Bulldogs bounced back from a shock loss to the Hawks with a thumping of Richmond.

Injuries to Josh Kelly and Lachie Ash could leave the Giants short on the outside, while more wet weather is predicted and could turn this one into a slog.

Prediction: GWS by 5 points

Best bet: Total points: under 181.5 ($1.90)

St Kilda vs. Fremantle prediction, tip, best bet

The Saints welcome Fremantle to Marvel Stadium on Saturday night.

Ross Lyon led St Kilda to a victory over his former team in their one meeting last year and the struggling Saints would desperately love another four points in this one.

The lone win in St Kilda's last five came against North Melbourne and they currently sit 14th on the ladder.

Fremantle were well beaten by Sydney at home last week, although that came soon after the news of the passing of former player Cam McCarthy.

The Dockers' two trips to Melbourne so far in 2024 have been winning ones and they'll fancy getting something out of this clash too.

Prediction: Fremantle by 21 points

Best bet: Fremantle H2H ($2.05)
