The 128th season of the AFL has reached the final stage of the competition. After 18 teams started the season, it has now come down to the top 8 that will compete in the AFL Finals, starting on Thursday, September 5.
Port Adelaide host Geelong at the Adelaide Oval in the second qualifying final to set the ball rolling.
The Finals Series will take place across four weeks with two teams being eliminated at the end of each week. The last two teams standing will contest the Grand Final on September 28 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

2024 has been one of the most open seasons since the current format was adopted in 2000.
It took till the final game of the home-and-away rounds to determine who would be in the top eight.
Top-placed Sydney Swans, who had won 13 of its first 14 matches of the season, have also seen a drop in form of late.
