The 2018 AFL NAB National Draft kicks off its two-day affair this year with the first round selected on Thursday November 22nd and the rest of the draft completed on Friday November 23rd.

In the lead up to the draft, Sporting News will bring you the history of each pick - including who got it right (or wrong) through the years.

Pick 14: FREMANTLE DOCKERS

(from GWS in Rory Lobb trade)

Who will the Dockers be likely to draft?

Fremantle has never had a selection at pick 14 in the history of the NAB AFL national draft, although the Dockers' first-ever captain, Ben Allan, was taken with the pick by Hawthorn in 1989.

Ian Hill (WA): 175cm, 76kg
Highly skilled, very quick midfielder and the cousin of Stephen and Bradley – very likely to be the Dockers’ first choice.

Ian Hill

Jordan Clark (WA): 182cm, 78kg
Plays mainly as a defender but is creative and makes things happen further down the ground.

Something to tell the boys at the pub (on a very quiet day)

Hawthorn, North Melbourne and Adelaide have each had four picks at 14 but with mixed results. The Kangaroos have been rewarded with 617 games and the Hawks with 522, while the Crows have only managed 227 from their selections (Fergus Watts 2003 for five games, James Sellar 2006 for 21 and Jake Lever 2014 for 56 at Adelaide), although Brodie Smith (145) is still running around.
