The AFL Rover's Brownlow leaderboard: Hawthorn's Tom Mitchell still king, but others catching up image

Hawthorn midfielder Tom Mitchell is still ahead on The Rover's Brownlow leaderboard after three rounds of the AFL season, but there are other members closing in.

The Hawks went down to the reigning premiers by 13 points, but Mitchell still managed 42 disposals and eight tackles. However, despite another case of leather poisoning, the 24-year-old only ended up with two Brownlow points as Tigers captain Trent Cotchin had a blinder and took the three.

Gary Ablett was in second place on The Rover's list after round two but unfortunately limped off early in the fourth quarter with yet another hammy issue.Only one member of the holy trinity claimed a point against West Coast - Danger with one - as Dom Sheed (three) and Luke Shuey (two) tore the Cats apart at Optus Stadium.

Check out the full leaderboard here.

Steele Sidebottom, Stefan Martin, Max Gawn, Nat Fyfe, Stephen Coniglio, Bryce Gibbs and Lachie Hunter were the other players to take maximum points in round three.
