Collingwood vs GWS best bets - First Preliminary Final

It's been all about Toby Greene in the build up and there is some decent value to be had in backing the Giants captain.

Greene has kicked three or more goals in 14 of his 23 games so far this season.

Therefore, his odds of $2.15 to hit that mark represent value.

Toby Greene 3+ goals - $2.15

The highly anticipated matchup between the Giant and Magpies could come down to the wire.

Collingwood took a four-point win last time they met in the preliminaries, and while GWS are in red-hot form, the black and white have been the top team all year.

Expect the Giants to take it right up to MCG-backed Magpies in a closely contested clash.

Brisbane vs Carlton best bet - Second Preliminary Final

Brisbane are the best attacking team in the comp and at home they haven't lost this season.

For that reason, Carlton will try to lock down the Lions, leading to a match that is likely lower scoring.

The Blues' first two finals have seen total match points tallies of 144 and 146.

And their best chance of winning is another repeat in the prelim.

Total match score under 170.5 -  $1.72

Sam Walsh has been the standout player of the AFL finals so far but he’ll again need to be at his best to stop a strong Brisbane midfield.

Since returning from a hamstring concern in Round 24, Walsh has averaged just over 30 touches per game, albeit only breaking the 30-mark last week.

The Carlton midfielder is in rare touch and will find plenty of the Sherrin again in a big preliminary final.

Sam Walsh 30-plus disposals -  $1.98
