Richmond star Monique Conti has capped a magnificent individual campaign by winning the AFLW best and fairest award for season eight.

One of the favourites for the award, Conti finished comfortably ahead of a quartet featuring Sydney's Chloe Molloy, North Melbourne's Ashleigh Riddell, Gold Coast's Claudia Whitford and Geelong's Amy McDonald.

AFLW Best and Fairest winner 2023, leaderboard

Conti polled 23 votes out of a possible 30 from the 10 matches to win by seven votes from Molloy, Riddell, Whitford and McDonald.

The 23-year-old Tiger went one better after finishing runner-up to Brisbane's Ally Anderson in the 2022 AFLW Best and Fairest award.

Favourite to win the AFLW Best and Award, North Melbourne's Jasmine Garner, finished equal-seventh with 14 votes.

Garner was the winner of the AFL coaches' Player of the Year award.
